Alabama DA Budgets Stretched by Bingo

Alabama district attorneys say their budgets are being stretched because of issues regarding the legality of bingo in their counties, the Gadsden Times reports.

While the district attorneys are getting some financial help from Gov. Bob Riley’s office, the district attorneys had rather the issue be decided by the Alabama Legislature and voters, the newspaper reports. A court hearing on bingo is scheduled for Monday in Etowah County.
