See the Proof

alabama-gaming-controversyEnough is enough!

Enough of the lies.

Enough of the hypocrisy.

Enough of the phony political theater.

The hidden facts and unspoken relationships behind the fight against legal gaming in the state of Alabama must finally be revealed.

You will recognize major opposition figures engaged in this battle. Some are out front waving the flag and leading the charge, while others connive and scheme in the rear-guard shadows.

These anti-gaming “warriors” want you to believe that their cause is just and their motives are pure. In fact, for their plot to succeed, they need you to believe all that.

They’ve enjoyed some success so far. But the jig is finally up.

Despite their shameless use of religious rhetoric to voice insincere moral and societal concerns, these “warriors” are actually charlatans, phonies and hypocrites.

They unscrupulously practice the political “dark arts” of manipulation and exploitation.

And it has worked. In the absence of outside scrutiny. Until now.

This website’s purpose is not to support a particular vote or position on specific gaming legislation. And, it is not attempting to support or oppose any individual candidate running for office in any specific election.

While the issue of gaming isn’t inherently a partisan one, there are individuals in one of the major political parties who have hijacked the party’s leadership and agenda in order to further their own personal ambitions.

This website will not condone the hijacking that has taken place, nor concede the assertion that gaming policy is fundamentally pro-/anti- Democrat or Republican.

This website’s mission is twofold: (1) EXPOSE the fraud and, (2) EDUCATE you, the citizen, with the facts.

There is a real “web of deceit” constructed here in our state.

Sadly, for the citizens of Alabama, the center of that web is located at the top of the political heap.

Before his term as Alabama’s governor even began, Bob Riley, used blatant demagoguery against the issue of gaming for political benefit.

Either there aren’t any mirrors in the Riley household, or Bob Riley has no conscience.

He has led a very public stand against gaming legislation in this state, while refusing to admit publicly that he accepted enormous amounts of campaign contributions from Casino interests in Mississippi.

Be sure to note this: this website isn’t making the accusation on its own. Senator John McCain’s taxpayer-funded U. S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs does. The McCain Committee’s Final Report (linked here) doesn’t simply suggest the allegation, it provides the documented proof that it happened.

Bob Riley isn’t the only one in this web of deceit who has profited in some way by opposing gaming.

The web is full of Riley advisers, friends and political associates who have made enormous personal incomes from Mississippi casino special interests.

And by scratching the surface even more, Bob Riley’s tenure as Governor has enabled a very lucrative windfall for members of Riley’s own family.

So, we invite you to navigate the tangled web of deception which is showcased on this website. It contains as much detail as is currently known, but it is also a work in progress.

If you know of any details, leads or schemes that we have missed, we encourage you to notify us anonymously through our, “I’m Blowing the Whistle on Bob” form. We do not ask for your name and we have no ability to track your email.

What we have managed to unearth will shock many and surprise quite a few of you.

But hopefully, after reading it all, your surprise will lead to righteous outrage against those who have distorted the truth by spinning the Web of Bob Riley’s Deceit.

We’ve resolved to get the facts out in the open and, ultimately, let the people decide how and when to regulate gaming.

Because enough deceit is ENOUGH!
